Time Change: When does the KIELIUS run?
The annual switch to daylight saving time is coming up! On the night of March 28 to 29, 2026, the clock will be set forward from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. The hour in between will not exist. For the KIELIUS schedule, this means: On March 29, 2026, the first early trip from ZOB Kiel will start at 1:45 a.m. (old time = standard time). So the trip begins earlier than usual, so that you can reach Hamburg Airport on time at 3:30 a.m. (new time = daylight saving time). The second trip starts regularly in Kiel at 4 a.m. (daylight saving time). The current timetable as well as information about our stops can be found underTimetable & Stops.
Switch to the summer schedule and fare adjustment
March brings two changes: From Monday, March 2, 2026, the KIELIUS will operate according to the summer schedule and will once again run on an hourly basis for you. You can find the summer schedule on the Timetable & Stops page.
Starting Sunday, March 1, 2026, a new KIELIUS fare will apply. The ticket prices are rising moderately. It still applies that tickets purchased in the online shop are slightly cheaper than those bought on the bus. Our saver tickets are also still available for you. The BahnCard discount will no longer apply from January 2026
Unfortunately, we will not be offering tickets with a BahnCard discount from January 1, 2026. Tickets with a BahnCard discount purchased until December 31, 2025 remain valid as usual. Please note that when using the ticket, you must show your valid BahnCard and a valid photo ID when boarding the KIELIUS.
